David Stephens brings deep experience and compassion to his practice, which focuses primarily on elder law, trust and estate planning, estate administration, and adult guardianship. A resident of Alamance County since 1999, David is committed to helping clients navigate some of life’s most complex and personal legal challenges with confidence and care.
David is a three-time graduate of Elon University, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with Honors in 2003, his MBA in 2008, and his J.D. from Elon University School of Law in 2011. Over the years, his legal practice has also included civil litigation, criminal law, traffic matters, and real estate — all of which inform his well-rounded approach to client service today.
In addition to his law practice, David teaches undergraduate Business Law as an Adjunct Professor at Elon University. He is a member of the North Carolina Guardianship Association and was appointed as Alamance County Public Guardian in December 2024. David is actively involved in the local community and currently serves on the State Employees’ Credit Union Board of Advisors. His past service includes the Children’s Museum of Alamance County Board of Directors, the Leadership Alamance Class of 2013, and the Elon Law Alumni Council.
David lives in Alamance County with his wife and two daughters. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
